‘The main assumption of connecting a chamber orkiestra with jazz rhythm section and three brass instruments, was to create a compact form, both expressively and sonically. I wanted to create a form, which unites regular, steady structure of an orchestra with improvisation of a jazz band. About the artist
Piotr Domasiewicz
He studied at Academy of Music in Wrocław, Bydgoszcz and Katowice. Composer, trumpeter, founder of an association Music According To Art. He is a founder or co-founder of projects such as Damas Ensemble Power of The Horse, Piotr Damasiewicz Quartet, First Exit, Escape Art Quintet. Among others, he was awarded Fryderyk 2013 for best jazz debut.
